Governments must demonstrate that protecting minority communities is not an afterthought, but a central responsibility.

정치 지도력 또한 중대한 시험대에 올라 있다. 애도 성명과 상징적 제스처만으로는 충분하지 않다. 반유대주의와 폭력적 극단주의에 맞서기 위해서는 예방 강화, 증오 범죄에 대한 명확한 책임 추궁, 사회적 결속에 대한 지속적 투자가 필요하다. 소수 공동체를 보호하는 일은 부차적인 과제가 아니라 국가의 핵심 책무임을 행동으로 보여줘야 한다.

 

 

The courage shown by police officers, first responders, and ordinary citizens during the attack also deserves recognition. Their actions remind us that solidarity often emerges most clearly in moments of crisis. But heroism should never become a substitute for prevention.
