head up과 heads up

head up과 heads up은 전혀 다른 의미입니다.

 

 

□ head up: 머리를 들다

She jerked her head up.
그녀가 고개를 홱 들었다.

The bird bobbed its head up and down. 
새가 머리를 아래위로 까닥거렸다.

The horse bobbed its head up and down. 
말은 홱홱 머리를 상하로 움직였다.

She held her head up straight and defied him. 
그녀는 고개를 빳빳이 들고 그에게 대들었다

I've committed so many wrongs, I can't hold my head up in front of others. 
지은 죄가 너무 많아서 사람들 앞에 떳떳이 나설 수 없다

He's nods his head up and down. 
그는 머리를 위 아래로 끄덕인다.

Don't prop your head up with your arm. 
손으로 턱을 괴고 있지 마라.

Don't be timid but hold your head up.
소심해하지 말고 당당하게 굴어라.

□ heads up: 귀띰하다, 미리 알리다

Just heads up!  He is pretty ticked off about what happened yesterday.

Heads up! There's a deer! 
조심해라. 저기 사슴이 있다!

The secretary gave me the heads upon the boss being angry. 
비서는 사장이 화가 나 있음을 나에게 일러주었다

그때까지 우리 기운내자.

At least give me a heads up.
